Default JOE GORDON (HOFer)- Exh 1939-45 PSA 5.5 -NOW ON EBAY

Posted By: Misunderestimated

$100 (includes Shipping/ delivery confirmation insurance is $2.50 extra)

This Exhibit Salutation 1939-45 card of the newly selected HOFer,Joe Gordon (Cleveland Variation). Gordon does not appear on very many cards as a player since he mostly starred in the 1940's. As a practical matter this card would have to have been issued after the 1946 season since he was a Yankee until that point (which makes me wonder about the 1945 end date for this set....) October 11, 1946, to be exact, that's when he was traded by the Yankees for another Veteran's committee HOF candidate, Allie Reynolds, "the Super Chief." (Reynolds was at least part American Indian and it was still acceptable to call him "Chief" I guess...)

The back is clean -- corner wear is why the card received this grade.

First to contact me accepting these terms gets the card.
