Default Tacoma Giants jersey

I recently purchased a Tacoma Giants 60s era minor league jersey. It is a MacGregor flannel with a tag set 2 1962 sewn in at the lower front edge. I am trying to get as much information about this jersey as possible including what the set 2 means. I assume the 1962 is the year it was made. I believe # 23 is jerry Thomas. This does not appear to be a pass down from the SF Giants parent club. Any other info you may have about this jersey would be much appreciated . Photos attached.

Nice jersey! Players were issued more than one uniform,so they would be marked set 1,set 2.

Thanks for the info. Couple of following questions for whoever knows vintage minor league jerseys

1. Was the set 1 and set 2 jerseys home and away? Or 2 sets for each?
2 why were some minor league jerseys from parent team and others purchased by minor league team. Was this the case with the Giants ?
3 I have been told some jerseys have the player name sewn into the neck area ? Mine does not and am wondering why some do and some don't ?
