Default NFL Hall of Fame - Kenny Easley

Kenny Easley was the baddest man on a football field I ever saw. WR's afraid to cross the middle of the field, legitimately fearful for their livelihoods. His career was shortened by kidney damage brought on by pain killers, but he and Ronnie Lott were terrors on the field. I hope he is given serious consideration for the Hall of Fame senior ballot.

Feel free to name another player in your opinion deserves consideration...

Makes me feel old that Easley is a senior finalist. I remember talking football as a kid on the playground and Easley single handedly created some Seahawks fans in NJ. Anything is possible, but I have to think he's in having made it this far i.e. only senior candidate.

I actually had Duke Slater https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Slater as my next senior, but I have no problem with Easley - just hope all the seniors don't start coming from the 80s or even 90s.

Unfortunately they will start coming from the 80s and 90s. The voters know no better at this point.

There's a logjam of players from the 20s-60s that deserve to be in before Easley and other "newer" players. Too bad they just reduced the number of senior committee candidates they will consider as this will make it even less likely that the old, old timers will be considered.

Some glaring omissions are Al Wistert (the bastages missed the boat on getting him in before he passed this past March), Duke Slater, Lavvi Dilweg and Jim Tyrer (who will never get in although he was a finalist prior to the murder/suicide).

And as far as hitters, Easley's UCLA backfield mate, Lupe Sanchez could lay out a whooping!

I must admit to no prior knowledge of the Jim Tyrer tragedy before your post. Very sad. Very, very sad.

I remember Lupe Sanchez and Easley destroying PAC10 personal favorites, UW & WSU offenses. However, I cannot find further info on Sanchez, what happened?
