Default If you have a few minutes, can you please help me? LONG

I am not very knowledgable when it comes to cards (or anything for That matter...hahaha) I collected for a couple of years about 20 years ago. For my nephews birthday he really wants a jackie robinson card. I thought I would surprise him and get him one. I know it will make his year. I have done some looking on ebay and I was wondering if anyone sees one that sticks out as a good card/deal. I would like something graded that is in good condition. Trying to keep it in the $150 range. An help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the lengthy post, I was just hoping for some guidance. I have a couple more that I didn't post because of same grade and a higher price.

Thank you so much,

Marc

#1 looks nice;
#2 has a black mark across the back and probably should have gotten MK on the PSA grading slip. I would think it should be less valuable.
#3 has a lot of gum stains

Go with #1.

It really comes down to a personal preference. if your nephew is an avid collection, he probably has his own likes and preferences. I am not a big fan of graded cards to begin with. PSA seems to be the grader of choice for the majority. i like the older black holders of SGC myself. Do you buy a grade or do you buy eye appeal? Year of card may matter. I love the 56 Topps myself, but wanted one of each of his easily obtainable 50s cards. The older you go, probably the more it becomes price wise unless there is a special number issue (high number, etc). Would a 53 Topps painting be more desirable than a 1954 portrait card? Some people may not like the horizontal orientation of the 55 and 56 Topps and prefer the vertical 52, 53 and 54 Topps.

From a personal favorite perspective only, I say go with the cleanest, best centered, best colored 56 Topps card you can get within your budget.
