I love a well loved card! Here's a Mayo that was found nailed to a barn beam along with a bunch of other ones and were found in the New England area. Whenever you see a Mayo with a hole like this at the top, you will know it came from this find. I looked through the entire bunch before they went to auction a few years ago.



There's some right now available in an upcoming auction. Keep your eye out for more as you now know their provenance.

I am a long time member of OBC (Old Baseball Cards) collecting club. You might have seen our banner add this month on Net54. Anyway, one of the free "services" I provide OBC members is grading and slabbing through my grading service GGS (Gurus Grading Service). Here is an example 1967 Philadelphia #87 Ray Nitschke graded "Gem Mint 10"

'Gem Mint 10', really!? No way that card is higher than a 9.5.
