Default 1887 N28 Allen & Ginter Charles Comiskey

Greetings fellow vintage pre war collectors. I was wondering if anyone considers the 1887 N28 Allen & Ginter to be Charles Comiskeys rookie card? Look forward to a reply.
Thanks

I think his Old Judge Browns Champion card came out before this.

Barry is right. the Allen & Ginter is now believed to be an 1888 issue while cards of Comiskey were issued by Old Judge & Buchner Gold Coin in 1887.

John Clarkson is pictured in the N28 set wearing a Boston uniform, and he did not pitch for Boston until 1888. So it's thought that the 1887 date for the set is incorrect.

Default 1887 N28 Charles Comiskey

Hi fellas. Thanks very much for the information. I wonder why cards that are just graded by PSA and SGC are still reflecting the 1887 date of issue? The card I submitted here is a nice looking card. The seller is asking $799. Seems like a good price. What do you guys think?
Thanks

Come to think of it, which came first: the Browns Champions or the Lone Jack?

Isn't the Lone Jack an 1886 issue?

It's generally listed as 1886, but I wonder if that is accepted as correct.
