Default Trivia: Wearing out their arms?

This year, Sandy Alcantra leads the majors in a lot of categories, including most batters faced with 886.

He's been shut down for the season and is 77 ahead of second place, so he will have the most at season's end.

Since 1920, four pitchers have faced as many as 1,500 batters in a single season. Name them and the year they accomplished it.

Wilbur Wood in 1973
Mickey Lolich in 1971

I don't know the other 2, but I'm pretty sure these 2 guys did it these 2 seasons. I'd expect the other 2 are before them.

Going off the top of my head.......

Wilbur Wood 1972

Phil Neikro 1973

Denny McLain 1968

Nolan Ryan 1974

If you are facing a lot of batters, pitching a complete game is a must.
