Default Great cards everyone!

I got this beauty in the mail today...was it any fellow board members who came in second on this one? (and made me pay an arm and a leg?! )

Anyways here it is....just need two more for the Red Sox team set. (Anyone know where I can find a raw beat up T3 Speaker???)

I felt fortunate to snag this one via a BIN on eBay before the world's leading collector of ultra high rare (sic) type cards saw it. The fact that this card once was in a Goodwin & Co. auction makes it all that more special.

In all seriousness, I didn't foresee adding any Lajoies to the brood this year, so finding a D304 Brunners, despite the off condition, was an early Christmas present.

Thanks Jason,

They don't show up too often as this is the first time I had seen the Boston team in person. I had seen the other two previously. Good luck in your quest and if I see another I will let you know.

Default Last Pirate of the year!

OK ... not Pittsburgh and slightly O/T as they're all Chinese themed, but for < $1, I couldn't pass it up ...

mostly because these guys needed a drab friend.

.... they'll have to suffice for the real thing.

Happy Holidays to all.

Neat array of pick-ups, Doc Mike. This photo was at auction a year or two ago, might have been Henry Yee but not sure, in case you hadn't seen the image. (I was not the winning bidder but I saved the jpeg; great picture of Muggsy and Matty).

David,

Thanks for showing that picture, I haven't seen it before. By the way, it's available if you're willing to give up your Falk cabinet Matty yet (That's my favorite Matty piece!)

Default Picked myself up a Cycle Back

Got this from a fellow board member in the B/S/T. This will probably be sent off for grading sometime soon. My first Cycle back! I got a new computer and the scanner is working again so I will be posting some AWESOME pickups in the coming days. Looking at the SGC pop report, there are no Cycle backs graded. This could be a pretty rare one!

Very jealous of that one, Steven!

One of my goals for 2010 is to purchase a Joe Wood vintage card [Red Sox uni only].

EDIT: You live in New Salem?? I live about ten minutes away in Athol.
