Donlin Has received votes for the Baseball Hall of Fame despite his storied stage & drinking career. One of the true "Characters" of the game , but he could hit ! Considered one of the finest hitters of the dead ball era in which he played 1899-1914. He was a member of the World Champion 1905 Giants a team which many historians consider one of the greatest teams of all time. His life time .333 batting average over 12 seasons placing his batting average among the All time best hitters not currently in the Hall of Fame. He died age 55 in 1933.$1,450.00
