Default Topps 2003 Buybacks for grading

Posted By: Chris

Has anyone sent in one of these topps 2003 buybacks in for grading to PSA? Do they take it out of the Topps holder or do they grade the holder and card together? I wanted to get just the card graded. . .

My only suggestion is to really take a good look at your card before removing it from the topps holder and submitting it. I was fortunate enough to pull a T206 Mcgraw Portrait with a sovereign back. I took it out of the topps holder and sent it to SGC for grading, sure to get atleast a 50 or so. It came back unslabbed, with a note saying that the card showed evidence of trimming.

I would have thought Topps would have made sure they bought cards that were not trimmed/altered. Has anyone else received a trimmed buyback?
