Default Teddy Ballgame Help

I am not that knowledgeable regarding Ted Williams sigs, especially since his sig changed late in life. What do you guys think of the below signature? I am told that it was signed in the mid 1980's at a card show. I know the later Ted sigs have a different d to W transition, but otherwise it seems to match up.

As always, thanks for the feedback and opinions.

I think it's good. Looks like 1970s style signature. Is very close to 2 that I have, one of which was signed in-person in mid-70's. Am curious what you guys don't like about it?

I don't like the W formation and gap, unless its obscured by background, between the d and W. just my dos centavos.

This is a good discussion that we are having. I really have no idea about this auto, which is why I am asking the board. But I am posting some examples that I trust are 100% authentic so the board can see why I am confused. I think these were signed in the 1980's. Thanks again for the feedback.

I don't think there is a gap. The ink is obscured by the dark background.

The one thing that stood out to me was the s. Not the right slant or shape.
I never like thick felt pens. The cover up a lot of things. One of them is how slow you can write with them.
