Default Help I.D.ing a Sweet Caporal Button/Coin

Posted By: Gary Weatherhead

Came across a Sweet Caporal metal coin at the flea market today. Player depicted was Callahan. I had the dealer put it aside for me while he looked tonight for any more he might have. Anybody have any idea what this is and a rough Idea of value? He was asking $40.00

Thanks for any help.

Best
Gary

If it looks like this it's a 1912 Sweet Caporal P2 pin. $40.00 is a little high for a common.

I'm guessing it might be a domino disk.

I don't have the coin yet because I left it for the dealer to hold for me while he looked for more, So I can't post a scan as of yet. The dealer said Callahan was a hall of famer but I'm not sure about that. The domino disc might be a possibility.

He is going to have a batch of thirties cards tomorrow so if all goes well I should have some scans.

Thanks \
Gary

Callahan is not in the Hall of Fame and $40 is too much. I would exercise caution with this dealer.

I found it in one of the guides. it's a Domino Disc featuring Nixey Calahan.

Edited to add, Barry is right this dealer does not know what he is doing. However, from a friend I know that if you buy a good number of cards from him he will accept a low dollar offer.

Best
Gary
