I can confirm the issue. Maybe they're finally fixing the grid issue that causes bogus prices to show up...

We moved to a new server last night and still working on it. We hope to have things running again very shortly.

Thanks,

Hey Bobby. Still down. How about an update for your "PAYING" customers.
Seems only fair, don't you? If an update can't be placed on the VCP
homepage can I recommend a mass email sent to your supporters.

Regards, Tony Andrea

Hi Tony, I just did a 10 minute session on VCP without any problems. I don't know much about computers but maybe restart your computer and try again? Lo-tech is the best I can do. Good luck!

Tony,

There is really nothing we can do because once you change the DNS pointer we have to wait for the ISP to propagate fully through the internet. You can call your ISP and tell them you're still seeing the old and if there's anything they/you can do to make the dns propagation occur faster.

Bobby - while I'm hopeful that the new server will solve the hanging site problems, testing it when there is no other load on the system doesn't mean much.

Bobby, can you give us an update on the non-sports board? I started a thread.

Hi Jim -
Thanks much for the offer but no real rush. Appreciate it...
By the way, tried restarting my computer. Nutt'in.......

Bobby -
You stated ,
"There is really nothing we can do because once you change the DNS pointer we have to wait for the ISP to propagate fully through the internet. You can call your ISP and tell them you're still seeing the old and if there's anything they/you can do to make the dns propagation occur faster."

Doesn't this sound like the update I mentioned above you should be giving your customers.
Why should we have to ask for one. It should come automatically since were paying your fee.
Its called customer service.

Tony Andrea

Tony,

We placed an ALERT on our homepage and in the forums last night when we started the migration to the new server. Everything transferred and we are trouble shooting and fixing everything as fast as possible. We should have everything online and working perfect tonight.

Bobby,

Try using words like the following to improve how you come across in your communication as a businesman:

"I dont blame you for being frustrated, I will make this right asap"
"I apologize"
"Thank you for your patience/understanding"
"This is my fault and I am doing everything in my power to fix asap"
"There is no excuse for this, I take responsibility and appreciate your bearing with me"

I guess what i am trying to say is that you should probably think about showing some EMPATHY and UNDERSTANDING instead of continuing to make excuses.

Trust me - soft wording like the ones above go a long way. After you learn how to use those words, you should think about how to learn to believe and embrace them. After that, business is basically a cinch. It's astonishing how many people in business have no idea about this simple concept.

Good luck!

Eric

Tony,

We just fixed some things and you should be able to log into the site now.

Eric,

You are right and we posted that type of response on our site when we made the change over.

This has been a very stressful few days for us and we are trying our best to get everything resolved in a timely manner. In the long run the site experience will be greatly improved for the members and there will no longer be any hang ups.

Again sorry for the problems you encountered today.

George: "Allright, very good I'd like my car and my deposit back please"

Attendant: "Can't do it'

George: "Whadday'mean.?"

Attendant: "If you read the agreement you signed the deposit is not refundable."

George: "Well does it say anywhere in the contract about my car being used as a whorehouse?

'Cause I don't remember reading that clause either.."

Attendant: "What can I tell you buddy. Take it up with Consumer Affairs."

George:. "All right , just give me my car and let me get the hell out of here."

Attendant: "Well that's going to be a problem"

George: "Why?"

Attendant: "It's all the way in the back. Can't get it out for a couple of days."

George: "What are you talking about.. I WANT MY CAR!!"

Attendant: "We ask that you please bear with us."

George: "Bear with you! This is a parking lot PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO GET

THEIR CARS!!!"

Attendant: "Ideally.."
