Default Trying to help a friend - Kobe Bryant opinion

A old friend posted on Facebook asking how she should sell this ball her sister won years ago. I asked if it had a COA and she showed it to me. I looked up the company and they seemed to be sketchy at best. Any chance the sig is real? This is the only pic I have. I know nothing of Kobe's auto and have no dog in this fight. Just trying to do a good deed. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Their business model is questioned, but as far as I know their authenticity record is fine. It's a division of Fanatics Inc. which runs the auctions for NFL, MLB, NBA, etc.

Just a quick note on their authenticity record.

I also know their business model, and a few years ago they were selling dozens of Derek Jeter and Mickey Mantle forgeries.

The Derek Jeter forgeries all came with certs from Global Authentics.

It took a few months to convince them they were forgeries.

Below are Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris forgeries with a COA from Sportsmemorabilia.

When doing research on them, I saw you (Chris) posting on a forum about that very thing which is why I asked here. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!

Very hard to see the signature through the cello wrap. That said, Kobe did go through a stretch from 2009-2011 where he wasn't signing exclusively for any company and his signatures during the period were very similar to the posted photo. They usually were accompanied with PSA/DNA certs but they were also sold via SportsMemorabilia.com. There is a very good chance it's legit as I personally saw dozens of these during that time frame, but I'd need a better picture of the dig to be sure.
