Default Babe Ruth Signed Stamp

Purchased at Skinners Auction A Few weeks ago. I was at the auction. The bid Started at $3,000. Sold for $1,000, I didn't like it. PSA Graded The signature 8.
What do you think. Did PSA get it right?

I can't see the photo, not sure why. I post because I am confused by this: "The bid Started at $3,000. Sold for $1,000." Is that a misprint, or did they lower the opening bid?

No one bid. They lowered it to $1,000. Only one person bid. I was with the guy who won.
