Default I did it! 1957 complete!!

I just finished my favorite set in NM+ with decent centering throughout. With maybe 25 cards to upgrade still it will be my best set I've ever built.

For me, the last 10 cards I needed were mostly Braves who won the championship that year. Also, series 1 in high grade raw is just as hard as series 3.

Now I'm on to 1959, 1961, and 1963 plus I need about 100 cards to upgrade my 1966 set to strong exmt/nm.

Happy Hunting!
Scott

Congrats Scott, 57 is my favorite set of the 50s, although 59 is a sentimental favorite. Why no 60 and 62 ?

Edit-- never mind on 60, do not read far enough

Scott,

Congrats! Well done...always refreshing to complete a set....although in a sense you are never really done, given the upgrades.

Here is a photo of the set with a few of my graded favorites. The Aaron I have wanted since I was 10 years old and this one has super deep dark ink coverage with no snow. Teddy Ballgame is the first one in my adult collection so I wanted that one to be super nice. Had a beat up 58 Williams back in the day. The Mantle is super tough to find centered and I'm happy with mine.

Thanks for all the encouragement!
Scott

I love 1962 and have about 35% of it. I guess those green tint variations intimidate me.

One day, it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

A mix. Mostly raw but they are really nice. The important cards, about 40, are graded. Most are 7s with a few high end 6s and a few nice 8s that are my favorites such as Johnny Podres and Ted Kluszewski.

Default 62 greenies

Never fear, Darren on here usually has a set or two of them for trading.

Nice! One of my favorite sets. Working on PSA 7 Pirates Team Set from that year.

And have never seen the lucky penny before! That's awesome!
