Default Old magazine page/glue problem

Hello ... I wasn't sure where to post this ... so I thought I'd try here first.

I have an old Sport Magazine issue that has a subscription card insert with glue that over time decided to stick to an adjacent page. This is not the first time I've seen this happen in an old magazine.

So my question is ... is there a way to apply some heat or moisture to the insert or page to allow me to pull the page free of the subscription card insert ... without tearing the page? I thought about using a hair dryer and a tad of water from a small sponge ... but magazine pages are so thin and rip very easily. Maybe someone here on this board has a better solution? Any advice is welcome. Thank you.
