Default 2018 MLB Draft

Is anyone following the draft today? How do you feel about your teams 1st Round Pick?

The Cardinals strayed from their usual pattern of selecting a pitcher and went with HS Slugger Nolan Gorman. Look's like he might have the best raw power of anyone in the draft but also a big swing and miss guy. Most of the mock drafts had him going as high as #8 and usually some where in the top 12. It looks like this could be a boom or bust type pick but the Cardinals really do need more power guys in their system. Sure we wont know anything for another 3-4 years but over all I am happy with the selection.

Now this seems more like a typical Cardinals early pick!

Pick 43 they took Griffin Roberts RHP out of Wake Forest. 6'3" righty who touches high 90s with the fastball and said to have the best slider of any college pitcher in this years draft. Yet another strong arm added to the Cardinals already stocked young pitching depth.

The reds first pick was kind of a head scratcher when they have senzel in the wings and Suarez signing a 7 year contract. The kid is a great player but the reds pitching is absolutely trash right now with no sign of it getting better in the near future.

Loved the Indians draft. Naylor and Hankins are awesome. It'll be interesting to see if Naylor or Mejia switch positions. Hankins, assuming he's healthy, is a steal.
