Default Stanton 10 home runs in 14 days!

As Stanton has a good chance at 30 home runs by the All Star break, would you consider him the home run champ if he beats Maris's 61?

We know that Bonds, McGuire and Sosa, while amazing home run hitters were obviously juiced, I think the record is still 61 regardless. The juiced record is Bonds but the clean record is Maris, and we supposedly are back to clean.

I think it will be exciting if he can chase it down legitimately.

I would and was at the game yesterday to see him hit his 23rd but he won't break the record in that cavernous Marlins Park until they move in the fences and expand the Clevelander which they will do in the next couple years.

Even if he does get that close, the last 20 years has made all fans suspicious. Stanton seems like a nice and clean guy...but you never know. Ryan Braun's case taught us to never let our guard down. Whatever happened to Chris Davis too?

I still believe the expansion year of 1961 featured some corked bats. We know Norm Cash used one.
