Default "Smoky Joe" Wood

It looks like Upper Deck actually cut off the "Smoky" part in "Smoky Joe" to get this signature to fit. I'm guessing it was "Smoky Joe" because that's the only nickname he would put quotation marks around.

That's really a shame because there aren't a lot of Joe Wood signatures out there where he signs "Smoky Joe" Wood. Have any of you seen any? I've only seen it twice in my life.

If anybody has any, I'll make you an offer.

You are absolutely correct, Jason. All you ever see is him signing just "Joe Wood".

I hate how some random guy wrote 5/79 on it too.

Real nice. I wish they would leave the unique autographs for the people that actually appreciate them instead of chopping them up. I'd take one with his nickname in a second.

You have to wonder what happened to the "Smoky part. My guess is it ended up in the trash can when they could have made another card. Disgusting either way

They say they do not cut any of the autos, they fold them to make them fit. Now do I believe this? Not sure for the history Upper Deck has.
