Default Help identifying old Packers photo

Hi, I'm trying to identify the player in this color newspaper photo. I was told it was Don Hutson in 1940, but the number is wrong. Beattie Feathers is listed as No. 3 on the 1940 Packers roster, but he played just one game. Tony Canadeo wore the number the following year. Could this be Feathers or Canadeo? It looks a little like one or the other. I guess it's possible I have the date wrong and it came out in '41. I'm just going on somebody else's word. Any ideas? Thanks, Chris

I just determined this is from 1941 and not 1940, so I'm guessing it's Canadeo. I just found a full copy of the original newspaper, and it's identified as Hutson ...

I believe it's Canadeo, Chris. The newspaper probably got it wrong.

I read Tony Canadeo's bio and the facial features don't look like him in my opinion. It looks more like Don Hutson to me. No guess as to why they would get the number wrong though - I agree that is pretty odd.

I agree - I think photos taken at training camp are more likely to have alternative jersey numbers and that's what this looks like to me.

Man, you guys are better at faces than I am! It looked more like Canadeo than Hudson to me. Maybe if he took his helmet off I could tell the difference.
