Default Does anyone know where I can get a low to mid-grade 1932 US Caramel Paul Waner?

Posted By: Scott Jeter

I am working on a 3,000 hit club rookies set and need a little help. I'm having a hard time finding '32 US Caramels let alone a Paul Waner. I didn't realize they were this tough. Any help would be appreciated.

Scott

I was a regular poster on this forum at one time but haven't been here in a while. I just thought more people would see the post on this forum as there are several posts on the B/S/T with no reply's. Sorry for the intrusion, just needed a little help.

it will definitely get more views here but the forum rules, for about the last year, have been to put them in the BST areas....and they are the same for everyone so I am definitely not picking on you...and glad you are back.....best regards

That set is less common than many, but is the US Carmel viewed as Waner's rookie card?

As far as I know it is. There were a few earlier issues but, with the exception of the Spalding Champions, I don't know if the distribution was broad enough to be considered his RC. He had the following earlier issues:

1926 Spalding Champions
1927 E210 York Caramel Type 2
1928 Exhibits
1928 Harrington Ice Cream
1928 R315
1928 Yuengling's Ice Cream
1929 R316 Kashin Publications
