Default Is this part of 1888 Scrapps Die-cut ?

I have this plate with Capt Jack Glasscock "glued I would imagine" to it who played for Indianapolis from 1887-89. I though it might be part of the 1888 die-cut set be do not see the name mentioned as part of the set. Has anybody seen this one before or know what set it belongs to ? Thanks, Mike

I saw that photo too, but this is very thin when you rub your finger across it. Doesn't have the thickness of a card. It look more like a decal ? Mike

To my eye the image looks somewhat degraded from the A&G card shown, and the text underneath seems out of proportion as well.

Have you considered the possibility that the image on your plate IS a decal? (In other words, a modern creation using a scanned image printed onto a decal and applied to an old crazed plate).

It is some sort of modern conglomeration of a N28 reprint or N172 poster reprint, given the wording below his image is as it appears on an N28, that would be my guess.

That being said the giveaway with this piece?

The line on back stating "Dishwasher and Microwave Safe"

Hahahahahahahahahahaha

Sorry, not laughing at you Mike. Just that I overlooked that "minor detail" along with everyone else.

Good catch, Rhett

The plate for sure was modern, just wasn't sure about the "decal" on it if that was old or not. That seems like a lot of work for just one decal. Here is a close up of it. Thanks for the replies. Mike
