Default Ted Williams Picture

I'm looking for some help on a Ted Williams picture that I picked up this weekend. Ordinarily I would say that this is a copy of a print but there is some code in the bottom right of the picture that makes me think otherwise. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before and could help identify where it comes from. It's 11" x 17" and beside the code in the bottom right (MP3942) there is no other print on the front or back of the picture. As always, thanks for your assistance.

I'm not sure if this helps, but here's the same image ...

Have no idea, but the code at the bottom suggests it may be something 'official.'

Default Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I’m really intrigued by the fact the picture was used for that magazine. Still scratching my head over the “chicken and egg thing”...what came first, the print or the magazine...
