The paper stock and printing look period, but it might be good for a few others to offer their opinions. Authenticating from a scan isn't foolproof.

I agree, I think it is real.

Have you illuminated it with a black light? That's generally a helpful test.

Send to get graded. Will erase all thoughts on being authentic or a reprint. Looks good to me though.

No red flags for me. Looks good. Here is a look at mine for comparison. (Black area touched up. Yeah, I know). Here is a link to see my SK Cobb in greater detail (pw=aloha): http://tinyurl.com/3n4rm2 . The way the both cards chip and peel along the edges looks similar.

I also believe it to be real from the picture but agree you should send it in for grading so people and I mean the graders can see it in person. Rob

I agree it looks authentic to me, but if you are going to sell it, it's probably worth spending the $20-30 to send it to SGC and get it graded. The increase in selling price will probably easily pay for itself.

You hang in there, Lucas!!!

Absolutely no need to send that in for grading. Might be something to consider if you were about to sell it to someone who doubted its authenticity. Otherwise, I think it is great just as it is.

Since you're happy with that fine card of Mr. Cobb, and you seem to be planning on keeping it for the time being, that card should NOT be graded.

Easier to look at ungraded, easier to hold, easier to enjoy, easier to store, less expensive to keep it as it is, no anxiety about misplaced mail, no fretting and whining about what grade it did or did not get... LOTS of reasons to keep the slabbers away from that fine card.

I love how that goes on for 4 minutes and 32 seconds! Please now find a 10 minute long Youtube video of Yakov Smirnoff beating a dead horse!

Lucas didn't want to grade his card.

Aren't you beating your dead horse? Know thyself.

I would be disgusted by someone beating any horse but that is pretty funny Rob....

Some like slabs some don't. It's ok either way. In Frank's (hi Frank) defense it is much better/easier to learn about the characteristics of the physical card sans plastic. Many of mine are naked, many aren't. I absolutely like having a 3rd party grading company (that I respect) give their ok as to auhenticity.....but this too has been beat to death....best regards
