Default How Many Grey Cup Rings Did Anthony Prior Win in 2001?

As a football and CFL fan, I'm always on the lookout for pieces of interest. While I don't own any championship rings, I was certainly interested in this one (at a decent price) in this auction:
https://goldinauctions.com/2001_Calg...-LOT29170.aspx

Given the Goldin site crash, I decided to wait until Sunday to decide if I should make a bid.

However, that same day I stumble upon this baby:

Both have LOA's from Prior, and strangely have different boxes.

While I haven't really looked at each ring in detail, it does cause one to go "Hmmmm..."

Any thoughts or insight into the boxes or rings would certainly be appreciated.

Any chance one could be a salesman's sample? I think if you could find a phone number for Intergold someone might be to advise you?

Possible I guess, but both apparently have a LOA from the player. Maybe the player has the SS?

Although I cannot prove it, I am quite sure I have seen one of these rings up for auction previously.

Very interesting. For starters, Anthony Prior would have only received "one" Grey Cup ring. Comparing these two rings, it is obvious that they are different, which would lead one to believe that one of them is a knock-off. Lots of different Grey Cup ring knock-offs have been up for sale on Ebay recently. If I had to guess, the Heritage Auction one looks like the knock-off, especially the presentation box, plus they don't show the actual LOP. Somebody is going to get ripped off!!!

you can order more than 1 ring. Some players order an extra ring for a wife or relative or if they lose their ring they can order another one. Not saying that is the case here but just saying they there are several players out there was more than 1 ring for the same game

Can't say about the rings.

But as a woodworker ---Who the heck presents a ring like that in a box that looks like a jr High shop project?
