Why does it seem that often the likelihood of authenticity is inversely proportional to the level of "bling" in the frame and matte job?

That is why this hobby is full of scammers, people want to believe and they make it so easy to get scammed.

Does anyone plan on contacting the guy to tell him that it's a fake or is the consensus that this guy knows it's a fake and is going to sell it any way? I would call him if I knew anything about autographs. Sadly (or perhaps luckily) I'm a broke novice trying to win a 1988 Braves team-signed ball being offered by Jim Stinson for less than 30.00!

He was contacted back when this story was new, but never responded. I seriously doubt he still has the jersey after 6 years.

"He began his career by framing and matting baseball and basketball cards and selling them door to door."

What the heck...?! A door-to-door sports card salesman?
