so, I will gladly be the next post.

1) 35 Years Old
2) Island of Staten, NY
3) Blessed to be married with three nut-job children.
4) Profession - running the family printing business - second generation.

5) Oh boy... my collection has more twists and turns than the Cyclone Roller Coaster. Lets just say that I am still finding my collection's identity. Currently - I am very much into postcards, especially Real Photo postcards. T200 Fatimas, Cobby, Matty and Big Train. But that is today. Tomorrow?

I'm Mike Ernst, just turned 60 (and recently returned from the Brewers fantasy camp--a gift for Chistmas and the 60th from my wife and 4 daughters).
Suburban Milwaukee, WI. Collected as a kid from 55-61, then from 70-75, 03-07.
I have 48-55 Bowman complete, Topps 52-up, T205, T-206 less the big 4, plust E90-3, 101, 98, 95.
Am continuing to peck away at some early stuff, but also filling in some 50's regional sets and oddball partial sets that I started on some time in the past.
Senior Pastor of a Lutheran church of 7500+, so cards time is limited.

very impressive collection!
Any interesting stories from Brewers camp? what players were in attendance?
(My parents grew up in your area, went to Nicholet HS, lots of family from there, so I kinda know the area)...

Hey, as long as that list of Superheroes includes The Tick, then he's alright in my book!

I'll bring my old Superfriends lunch box and we can talk cards over a bologna sandwich

James, if there's any day that feels like a holiday to me it's the first full day of the NCAA tournament. (I don't watch the play in game)

Steve, breakfast cereal and superheroes would make a great name for a band - or at least an album title. It pretty much descibes how I spent my Saturday mornings throughout the 1970s. Maybe with a little Hong Kong Phooey, Laff-a-lympics and Sigmund and the Seamonster thrown in for good measure.

I think Steve was giving me the Seinfeld treatment- and I do love cereal, especially Cheerios.

Did you know that when Julia Louis Dreyfus was first introduced to Jerry Seinfeld on the set of the show, he was eating a bowl of cereal? True story.

Hi Mike,

I went to Cubs camp and we were supposed to play you guys on Wednesday. Unfortunately we had the rain on Wednesday and the games were rained out. How were the fields after the rain? We were wondering how bad the fields were because we played Thursday after some big work by the grounds crew. We were trying to figure if the Brewers just chickened out against us cubbies. By the way, I was on the Cubs Championship team.

Ken

Your collection sounds amazing, particularly the autographs...may I ask what medium are they on, predominantly? (photo, letter, baseball, etc...)
That part of your collection sounds as though it would require the most time and effort to asssemble...

I've been collecting the T206 set with my dad for the past decade or so and still need the Doyle and Wagner (and a couple of printing errors and the incredibly rare oldmill overprint backs). I noticed a number of people also trying to put together t205 / t206 sets, which is wonderful. They are both fantastic sets. If anyone need any specific players I have a few dozen dupes and might be able to sell/trade them. Good luck to all and have fun putting them together, I know that we had a blast with our T206 set.

Hello,
I am 48 years old
I live in Stamford CT.
Investor

I was a writer for baseball card update back in the late 80s early 90s. Did set write ups for various trade mags.
I have a very large collection but have been selling it off due to personal reasons. I collect vintage photos,Yankee, and Dodger items. But mainly collect vintage pins and PM10 stadium pins
Married with 2 boys (1 studying medicine) Big problem to have a collection with school at 48,000 a year! either sell some off or do without food! (LOL)
My start into serious collecting began with a veteran collector (Bruce Yeko) in the late 70s.
Nice to see so many great collections on the site! Thanks Leon for the nice conversation ! Regards Al

2. Vancouver B.C. (Canada)

3. Trying to finish my 1923 Maple Crispette set, only need 6 cards for competition. (Any help would be great!)

4. I only buy "cards" portraits! Why you ask? I guess it has something to do with the T206 wagner.

5. Cards sets I really like: e103, E104-1, D359, e99, e100, Holland Creameries, T209-1, D322.

6. I'm interested in building a e103 or Holland Creameries set in the near future.

48 yrs young,happily married,no kids
Reside in Greenpoint,Bklyn, NY
27 years in television;past 16 as a senior commercial editor for a national cable network
Also do voice-over work for commercials and cartoons
Big-time lurker on this forum;my collection was cherry-picked several years ago by a very generous dealer(Jim Ryan;he now runs East Coast National and many other productions and is a great guy)...he cleaned me out of my
NM 50s and 60s sets and most of my vintage cards(tobacco and otherwise),as well as my entire collection of unopened racks and boxes from 50s through 70s.
I'd been collecting since my youth, ever since my dad handed me his childhood Goudey cards.
I also believe my cousin Alan Ray was the guy mentioned in the Wagner T 206 story recently...I havent spoken to him in years, but know he was a huge collector back in the 60s and 70s.
Anyway,I've been slowly but surely creeping back into prewar collecting, starting with some of my great-grand-uncles'(Nap Rucker, turn of century pitcher for Bklyn, etc) cards.
This is the first site I "turn to" in the morning.
Leon, you have one of the most interesting websites on the planet. And your collection inspires me (you too,Teddy Z,I'll miss your posts).
Rob

I thought we had done this one earlier but here goes.

50 years old - doesn't seem like it

Have been teaching high school for 28 years - Marketing, business, and web design/graphics. Those of you who remember Welcome Back Kotter, well that's me.

Married, 3 kids, the last one leaves for college in the fall.

Arcanum, OH near Dayton. Saw an earlier post from Waynesville, OH - Give me an email if you want to talk cards.

Collecting '33 Goudeys, T206 Reds (for now), have a decent collection of '60s to '80s.

This is a great site esp. if you stay away from the bickering.

RC

Live in Waterford, CT. Age 28.
Married for 3 years - just had our first child - a baby boy (3 months)!!!!!
Job title is Engineer, but I don't do much engineering work.

Sets I'm working on: 48 & 50 & 53 Bowman, and a slow-going 1939 Playball. Mix of raw and graded. Was toying with 1933 goudey. Just started M101-2 and Butterfingers. Pretty new to pre-war, so the more I learn/research the more I want!!! Some nice caramels and cabinets out there so I might start dipping in those too. Have yet to be bit by the T206 bug that everyone seems to enjoy here. I know my pocket can't afford a 500+ card set so I probably won't start hee hee.

3. I have been collecting vintage military items (Civil War-WW2) for roughly 10 years now and have recently began collecting vintage baseball cards. I am trying to buy one period card of every player in the Hall of Fame. I especially like T206 cards. Also interested in anything relating to Lou Gehrig.

I remember the "good old days" back in the late 80's early 90's when we did some deals together. Hope you remember too.
