He actually liked almost all of what we had done, it turned out, but couldn’t stand listening to the segment with Jimmy Austin, the oldest player Ritter interviewed. Austin died less than a year later, the only one of the players who didn’t live to see the book.
Awesome read! Thanks so much. But I don't quite understand the above. Was it because Larry was sad that Jimmy passed away before the book came out? |
