Default To introduce myself (in the proper forum)

Just found the Forum..............hoping to get some collecting advice,
and access to some nice vintage "Jeffries" boxing material that may surface

I'm 67, a disabled veteran, and collect "Jeffries" Cigarette cards, and the boxers associated to him. ( I am a namesake of the boxer).
My collection is modest.........I focus on "graded" - Mid-Grade (prefer SGC), my budget is limited due to disability income so I'm always on the lookout for good deals, good advice, and "tricks of the trade".

Last, but not least...........I have a LOT to learn - hope to do some of that here.

Welcome James. The Jeffries Playing card set is one of my favorite aesthetic looking sets of all-time, and if you don't want to spring for the whole set, mid-grade singles can be had pretty inexpensively.

I have discovered those - I prefer them for the "true to life" pictures of the boxers.
Trying(?) to collect all the mid-grade singles that portray boxers that Jeffries fought.

Welcome. Compared to baseball I find boxing cards to provide great bang for the buck price to historical significance wise. Good luck!
