Default Pro Footballer Responds to My Post

Posted By: JimCrandell

I have never heard of this happening but a member of the 1951 Topps Magic set--Tom "Dutch" Rushing responded to a post of mine on the 1951 Topps Magic set.

"I saw that you had an old football card of me and thought I would write and tell you."

"I live in Greenville, Ms. and I am 77 years old and still in fair shape. I jog and walk three days a week. I have one of those old cards and my grandson has one."

"I won't take up any more of your time, but will enclose a picture of me now and my grandson Tom Rushing."

He enclosed a very nice picture of the two of them.

Very nice thing for him to do. I wrote to thank him but his e-mail address was not accepting e-mails from me(guess my reputation got out)

As I said, first time I heard of an ex pro athlete responding to a post on Net54.
