Hal Chase Book ????

Hello All, I was told to read a book about Hal Chase from a friend of mine. I can't seem to remember what the name was but it was something to the effect of "The Dark Corner" or The Dark... something or other. If someone could shed some light on this book and is it readily available at Barnes and Noble or another Big Bookstore today?
