I want to sell or trade this item:

(PSA 6 T202 Bender/Thomas - "Chief Bender Waiting") the only Bender in the T202 set.
Card is well-centered and very clean on the front with nice corners the major draw-back is that it shows some wear on the hinges on the back. All'n all it could have graded a notch higher given the other T202s I've seen from PSA.
Anyway email me for a scan (I tried to insert it but was unsucessful). Otherwise, It will wind up on Ebay Sunday.

In trade I would be most interested in T202s or T205s graded Ex-Mt or better. I have others to trade/sell, too.

Have the following for sale:

1903 Sporting Life St. Louis Browns Team Composite
Contains one of the few available images of Jesse Burkett. Near Mint - still in seller's shrinkwrap. Has backing board and mats - ready for framing.

Also:

Scrapps Tip O'Neill
About VG condition. Some glue stains on front.

N28 Bob Caruthers
About VG/EX- condition. Nice card except for some scrapbook removal damage on back.

Didn't want to hog the board with scans of the Scrapps and the N28, but I can send anyone who is interested the links. Email me and we can talk price.

Kevin

about the policies of this thread. Here's my post from April 24th.

Classified Ads
April 24 2002 at 4:16 PM Elliot
Forum Owner
from IP address 152.163.195.176

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've wrestled for some time now regarding the correct policy to have on buy/sell postings on the board. I've received input from quite a number of posters, but, of course, opinions varied from one extreme to the other.

Going forward, I would like to institute the following policy:

1) This thread titled "Classified Ads" will be set up, and all buy/sell posts should be posted in this thread. This will allow people who don't want to read the post(s) to skip them. I will be deleting the recent posts by Jim and Pete, and ask them to repost in this new thread. (To Jim and Pete---sorry for the inconvenience).

2) Classified Ads posts will be restricted to contributors to the board. If you don't want to expand the knowledge base of the board, then you lose the right to post "free" classified ads.

3) I don't want this board to become a "classified" board, so I ask everybody to use discretion regarding the number of posts that they make to this thread.

4) A reminder that there is no "pre-screening" of posters, so conclude transactions at your own risk.

I hope everybody finds these policies reasonable and fair, but please let me know if you agree/disagree.

regards

Elliot

There's a Sporting News Sisler #166 currently on ebay. The seller also has a Frank Chance which looks suspicious, so be careful.

I have just posted 4 SGC graded Old Judge on Ebay. The cards are:

Wood---86
Nash tagging Radbourn---84
Bligh---84
Daly---80

These are condition rarities with the Wood being one of the finest condition Old Judge in the hobby. Although I don't have the population report, I would guess that most, if not all of these cards, are the finest known.

Beautiful cards - why is Wood's bat so short? I own a ring bat that looks a lot like Wood's. It's cut short, but looks to have been cut a heckuva long time ago.

Due to other interests in the hobby of card collecting, I have for sale (individually) 66 T206s graded mostly PSA 7/8, a few 6s and one 5. Please e-mail me at TSEDL2244@aol.com for a list/prices. Most are commons, several Souther Leaguers and a couple of HOFs PSA 8Q.

Thanks!

SGC 70 ex+ 5.5 graded Old Judge of California Brown in full catchers' gear catching the ball. #0272. Scans are available on request. I plan to list it on ebay but wanted to give loyal board members first shot. I think the card is more like ex than ex+, but I have no experience grading Old Judge cards (this is the 1st I've owned) so SGC probably knows better than me on this one. $450 postpaid (USPS regular mail) + insurance (optional, your cost) or any shipping medium you'd prefer (at your cost). First come, first served. If no one wants it before Sunday at 9:00 PST, I will end up listing it on eBay.

The following T207s in any decent shape- Rath, Ragan, Pelty, Wood, Kling, W. Miller, Sweeney, Kuhn. Could also use an upgrade on Adams, George, Hoff, Downey and Block.
Looking for creaseless violet background E94s of most players.
Also, I need a handful of 1909 Obaks in any condition if you have any to sell or trade, to complete my set.
Finally, anyone have any EX or better 1964 Topps Stand Ups they might be willing to part with?

Hey all, I'm looking for the following cards (been looking for them for quite a while, actually). Can anybody out there help me? If so, email me at jwojak@rosscohen.com

E90-1 American Caramel Patsy Dougherty (yeah, tbob, I gotta agree with you about this one)

E220 National Caramel George "Bingo" Kelly (never heard that nickname before, but that is what the card says) and Ivy Wingo

D304 General Baking/Brunners Bread (any back will do) Chief Bender and Fred Tenney.

Any condition will do - can't be picky with these.

I also need most of the PSA 9's from that set as well. Thanks!

Let's start a new classified thread on July 1, 2002, as this one is getting too long. It would probably make sense to not make new posts to this thread in the last few days of June.

I rarely let ANY of my collection go for any reason...but, one thing I will consider is a Christy card for trade, where I have more than one of a particular kind (such as the t206's, of which i have several...in many different grades).

But, I will generally only trade to get a Christy card that I don't have yet.

Do you have any unusual Christy cards that are, perhaps, not as appealing to you as a t206 that you are looking for?
