Default what was your best trade? Your worst?

Best: getting a 1958 Bell Brand Gino Cimoli (very tough short print) as a throw-in on a deal for two other cards.

Worst: Trading a whole box of 1960s football for a 1941 Play Ball Whit Wyatt. This was before football card collecting gained any traction.

I'm debating which is the best (there are too many), so....

(1) 1985 My 1977 T set for a 1951 Bowman Mantle (Vg); which
I then traded for an uncut 36-card sheet of 1949 Bowmans.
This 4th series sheet is very colorful and super rare.

(2) 1988 25 boxes of 1981-1986 Topps sets for 7 - 1954 T
stars (both TeddyW's, Aaron, Banks, Kaline, Mays, JRobby,
and a Reggie Jax, Ryan & Rose rookies) all Ex or better.
Then traded the 1954 Topps stars for a 1952 Topps Mantle,
which was in Vg/Ex condition. Sold the Mantle in 1990.

(3) 1995 Traded a 1966 Topps set for 60 T206 cards (incl.
Johnson, Red & Green Cobbs, Young and 6 other HOFers).

Best:
1. Straight up trade of a 1972 Carlton Fisk RC for a T206 Keeler in great shape.
2. Straight up trade of a common T206 for a "common" Red Cross.

Worst:
1969 Mantle for the last card to complete my 1981 set, Mickey Hatcher. (Really!)

Joshua

As part of an auction lot, I had gotten a blank backed, no name t206 of a player from the white sox with the four registration marks still on the front, centered top and bottom, left and right. In 1994, I traded it for $65 credit from a vintage dealer here in the Omaha area who no longer does pre-WWII . Really wish now I hadn't done that, but at the time, the four common cards I got out of the deal seemed pretty sweet.

Best--2 Rodeo meats commons to a dealer for 1954 Bowman Ted Williams NM (In 1974)

About two years ago my 13 year old son had just started to get into baseball cards. I bought him a Sammy Sosa autograph for his birthday. About a month later his friend pulled a Walter Johnson Cut Auto numbered to 20 out of a 2002 Sp Legendary Cuts pack. At this time we had no idea about vut autographs, but he made the decision to trade for it. We held onto it for about 6 months not knowing much about it. We then put it on Ebay for a starting bid of $100. To our shock it sold for an even $2,000!

Worst - Circa 1987 I traded 1955 Topps All American Football Hutson, 4 Horseman, and someone else for Cory Snyder, Todd Worrell, and Eric Davis rookies.

Best - 1985 Topps Set at a show for Goudeys of Manush, Pop Haines, and Greenberg.
