Default T3 Hal Chase Proof -- but look at the back

Like manna from heaven this item dropped into my hands today. And just a few days ago at the National I was discussing the whereabouts of this particular proof with another collector. While this was sold at auction a few years ago, the description did not mention the ghost image on the back -- of Red Kleinow with his hands on his knees with catcher gear on. Pretty damn cool card.

1911 Turkey Red Cabinet T3 (Proof)

Awesome pick-up.
I'd want to display that with the back facing out but would be afraid of it fading further. A nice problem to have nonetheless.

Jeff, that is absolutely amazing...great pickup! I guess ghosts of other players are no longer reserved for T206

Very cool Jeff, another top notch piece to your collection.

Side note, a new T206 back ghost was found at the National.

Very nice pick-up.

Plus, looks like a cross-hatch at the top of the Kleinow image - perhaps originally a group of stacked proofs?

Sort of makes you wonder what Kleinow was doing to Chase.

Great pickup, I think a few T3 proofs may have ghost images.

It's either the Matty or Johnson that has a ghost of Cy Young on the back.

I'm trying to figure out how the image got reversed. I wonder if there's a Kleinow proof with a reversed image that later was corrected.

isn't it just from the transfer of the image?

Looks like the Joss and several others have ghosts as well, however the Chance is very clear but does not appear to be a direct print but some sort of stacked transfer maybe
