Default Vintage baseball photos: questions

Posted By: Alan Elefson

Hi-
Please see the scans below of two old baseball "photos" I recently picked up at an antique auction (they came in a lot with a few other baseball photos and am RPC). I would like to classify them if possible, so I have a few questions for the board:
1. What type of photograph is this? My guesses range from a really cheap way of getting a picture to some sort of preapproval print, or just a bit of scrap paper the photographer decided to develop on. Or, is it just cut from something larger?
2. Based upon either the type of photo or the scant detail that can be gleaned from the small images, can anyone give an approximate year range for these items?
3. As usual, any other information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Alan Elefson

Hey Alan, they are "snapshots" circa 1910-20s. Not a whole lot of value as they look to be small town team action shots. The paper is a little thicker than normal snapshots, but the person who developed the photos probably just used what he had on hand.
