Default Can anyone ID these "cards"?

These and others were in some scrapbooks I recently purchased from a local auction.

Doerr and Frey are on the same card (Front and Back). The stock is thick paper and the size is 6 3/4 x 4 1/2. They have a light cream color.

Also in the scrapbook , still glued in are Tex Hughson, Spud Chandler, Luke Appling, Rudy York,, Ted Lyons, Mel Ott, Dick Wakefield, all referring to an achievement in 1942 or 1943.

I'm leaning toward cut out of a book, but don't know.
