Default Hobby NO STATS FREED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just received my Hobby No stats in a PSA holder. For those of you that don't know, PSA stands for Pathetically Sad Authenticators.

What a rush busting that puppy out to slide it in my binder to complete my T205 RAW yes RAW master set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So much for bogus pop reports!

I love this hobby!!!!

Default Sweet!

Awesome! My T205 set is raw too, although I don't have the No Stats and a few other toughies. I have the basic set and some variations, all raw. I know that baffles the minds of some folks...

Take Care,
Geno

Default One more vote for raw!

All my cards are "raw" even big ticket cards I buy.....first thing I do is bust em out. What good are they if you can't feel em and smell em. dave.

Default tsk, tsk...

You guys are all evil...the population reports are going to be all messed up now. The guys who collect plastic cases instead of cards are going to have to figure out a way to adjust for your buffoonery...

Take Care,
Geno

How do you know they are real if they aren't graded?

Just starting my t205 raw set....it feels so good to bust that plastic b/c:
1. If you cant touch it, its not really the same thing
2. They fit much better in the binder w/o being slabbed
3. BB cards are really kids toys
4. It makes me feel like im 8 yrs old again
5. I dont care about resell value
6. I LOVE to hear the crunch of the plastic and
7. Hear the card breathe a sigh of relief as it exits the case...Bust 'em all!

Congrats Dan. I have all but the Hobby no stats & Wilhelm suffered. 95% of them are raw.

Dan--Congrats on the completion. I love the raw bar and my T206s are all shucked. I'd buy you a beverage if I were closer to Maryland!

Cheers, Mike

Default Perspective

Looking at things from different perspectives...

My perspective: Collecting cards in protective cases that have been authenticated and given a numerical grade by a third-party (neither myself nor the seller) is a good (not full-proof) way to avoid being defrauded.

OPs perspective: All third-party authentication/grading of baseball cards is a worthless waste of time and money.

My wife's perspective: All collecting of old pieces of cardboard with pictures of dead people on them is a worthless waste of time and money.

Default The McKee Collection

But Dan, don't you realize their revenge will come in not only eventually encapsulating your entire collection, but with an immortal "Dan McKee Collection" tag, as well? When you're slabbed, they will be too!

Free James Brown! Free James Brown! Wait, wrong freedom protest.

Congrats, buddy, must be great to both close down a set and liberate a PSA-POW.

Default T205's

Congrats Dan!!! That's quite a set completion. I'm down to 11 on the basic set so I can appreciate what you're feeling. Mine also are raw and resting comfortably in a binder.

Love it!
I too have rescued many from their PSA prison!
Also, I hate the term "raw", I prefer "pure"

Hey Dan,

Congrats on the Hobby no stats!!! That is one crazy tough card. As far as liberating the card from a graded holder, I am all for it as my T205 set is raw as well, but I am sure if this card ever trades hands again (which I am sure Dan well request to be barried with it) it will be graded before it sells. I know people like to bash the graded card thing but to each is there own.

Again Dan congrats on a GREAT card!!

Trevor

Default Congrats!

Fantastic Dan! Good for you. My set is raw also, minus the Matty variation and the Hobby.
