Default January Pick Ups

Just got this collection delivered. Mainly junk era with some 60's & 70's stuff in the binders. Will have several hours of fun looking through it all.

LOL, already his. Soon as I found them I sent him a email with an offer for 1 of them that he could not refuse.

My wife hates it because of the space they take up but I love buying lots like this. There is always cool stuff to be found. Because of the 2 Canseco color variations I am expecting to find more 90 Fleer with the same problem.

My son went to visit my exes father in law several months ago and was dropped off with a stack like this. Turns out he was suckered into investing in a card shop during the boom and took a ton of it home when the doors closed. He thought my son would be great to pawn it off on. My wife lost her mind.

In other things, that USA shoe box in that photo bought back some old memories. We had little money growing up and there was an unwritten rule that no shoes could exceed 10-15 bucks. Those USA olympic shoes were sold by JC Penneys till the early 80s and were a poor Adidas ripoff. They were all I was allowed to buy till about 85. I still remember being made fun of for having this those shoes.

More cool stuff I found looking through the pile of junk(era) cards.
The postcards are 86 TCMA as are the sheets of perforated cards. The Upper Deck cards are error cards missing the hologram. Found these Hot Wheels cars along with a couple Fotoballs in a shoe box and another shoe box had the Traded/Update sets.

I've started to add modern "game used" cards to my Cobb collection. Picked this up at the Plano Show. I'm sticking with Topps and Panini only.

Lol! It was either this or a '52 Topps Mantle, but the bank would only loan on the car.

Picked up 2 more error cards I am hording. This printing error is known as the Bulls Eye version because of the cool yellow and red print spot on his forearm.

I don't have a pic or the card in hand but I also picked up another card I am hording. The 89 Fleer Wade Boggs without the Dot after Throws Right on the card back. I have been hording this card since 89 and it will be my 3rd one.

Congrats, nice set. Does the Chipper DS logo look the same as the others in hand? It looks way different in the picture to me.

He's the only one like that . He has a spot on the right side . Like someone dropped a drop of drink on him . Will have to replace that in the future .

Just got this beauty in the mail. Shoutout to Firehandcards for pulling it for me. I think I'm going to sit on it for a while.
