Default Newish member intro

Greetings, I’ve been lurking off and on here for a while, and thought I should introduce myself. This forum is awesome.
My name is Jim. I love baseball, history, nostalgia and speculative investing - perfect for this hobby! I grew up in upstate NY during the junk wax era. My first wax pack was given to me by my uncle in 1987. I ripped it open to reveal a wood framed Lenny Dykstra of the then World Champion NY Mets. I’ve been a Mets fan and a card collector ever since. Now I live in the Cleveland area and have started collecting again over the last couple years - mostly vintage. I am actively working on:
- All NY Mets team sets 62-present
- 1959 Topps
- 1 card for each HOF during playing/coaching yrs if possible

Also collect:
- Doby, Irvin, Cecil Travis, Gwynn, Olerud, David Wright
- Old Cleveland cards - Joss, Lajoie, Sewell, etc (Anyone w affordable Fatima)?
- 1967 Topps

TLDR: Hello. This forum is awesome. Mets. Cleveland. HOF.

When you wrote "Newish," I thought you were recruiting people for some hybrid religion or something.

Welcome aboard!!!!

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.

You don't have to be Newish to post here...but it couldn't hurt.

There are plenty of collectors who collect Newish players, and because of that cards of these players can get pretty costly.
