Default Selling much of my collection (husband-of-tammy)

Posted By: JC

Tammy and I have decided to sell off a large part of our collection. If you do not know who I am? I am husband-of-tammy on Ebay and a 15 year collector of baseball cards ranging from 1870 to 1996.

Before I consign many items to the "auction houses", I wanted to give the board members first shot at my collection. This will probally save both of us some money.

I have set up a private link to the gallery of my cards, that I will be adding to everyday.

www.zmotive.com/gallery/jccards

Please e-mail offers on 1 or the entire group of cards.
I will do my best at answering questions in a timely manner. jc@numail.org

Thank You
Jim Clarke "JC"

I said the same thing to Jim in an email. Such a beautiful collection, hope the circumstances bringing this about are purely at his discretion.

Perhaps a couple of the big boys on the board can keep much of the collection together?

Some of the items I've never seen before, very nice material. I so want the Detroit Wolverine team photos.

That is one amazing collection. It must be one of the top Pre-war collections around.

Great job.

I suggest that any vintage bb card lover click on the slide show on these incredible cards--they float by with barely supressed ohhs and ahhs from this viewer--what a way to spend the afternoon. A fantastic way to showcase a stupendous collection.

WOW! That is a great collection.

Always a shame to see a collection like that broken up.

Congratulations!

Any chance you can put that slideshow (or at least the images) onto CD's? This makes for some great research material...you could probably sell a few like the other vintage card image CD's that show up on eBay.

Regards,

Brett

Jim responded to my emails promptly, but he may not have firm prices on all the items at this time.

When I see you you get a big fat noogie No need to bring me into it with the "Leon who?" ....JC's collection, as well as many, many other folks, far exceeds mine......I just wish he would reconsider and find another way to do whatever it is he is doing and keep his cards......but if I know JC (and I do a little bit) he will be back with a vengeance......regards all

Thank you for all the nice e-mails and concerns you have all showed me in a short time. I have been overwhelmed with offers and comments on many items. I will try to answer all of them as time allows.

I have been busy running my mail-order company lately and need to focus as much time as I can on that.

I have not sold any cards yet, and I'm trying to figure out, what would be fair for both myself and board members. I feel this board serves as a backbone to our hobby.

I will keep everyone posted on how I will be breaking up my collection. Thanks again JC

JC, I just emailed you an offer for the works! What a beautifully put together arrangement of great stuff! It shows what money, good sense, and excellent taste in collecting can do for you! I personally have none of the 3. Dan.

If you have enough coin to buy the whole collection, I am glad I am your friend
It is truly an amazing collection. Even without the pre-1900 stuff, there are a lot of desirable cards...

I have looked at your collection again. And after page 80 or so I beagn to wonder why in the world did you take all that time to put up digital photos of that massive collection? (Not that I mind looking, I think it is wonderful)

Why not just consign the whole lot to one of the auction houses?

Or you could even start your own auction site with that type of collection...

There is much that I would love to bid on or purchase, but still wondering what your looking for price-wise...
