Default W575 Cobb on ebay...Real or Fake?

I just saw this on ebay...it doesn't look right to me. Seller has a few others that may be real...but this cobb looks off to me...what do y'all think?

I saw this one too...just not sure. The typing on the back looks a little odd, and not just because it is in red ink. Also it seems like the seller could have removed it from holder (a common ploy it seems from those who want to deceive).

On another note, I do love how some goob (whether 1920's goob or more recent variety) added 'Corn', making his name Ty Corn Cobb. A goob that is after my wordplay heart.

It looks off to me too but I am not sure. That series can have large borders but not sure that large though this Collins has large ones. The paper seems different on the ones he has listed? Again, too hard to be sure but my initial reaction to seeing it/them wasn't positive.

In full disclosure I might or might not bid on any of these (probably not) but it might just be the poor scans/pictures the seller is using, pertaining to the card stock, and why it looks a bit off. With a 14 day return policy the Cobby isn't that bad of a deal? There is one thing for sure, the lighting is terrible in those pics.

Is it just me or does the typing on the back tend to be associated with fakes? I've seen several examples where this is the case (I have no judgement on this particular card).

Had a chance to look at his other W575-2 listings (all of which are shown not in plastic holder). My vote is that it is real...I think I will contact seller to show card outside of holder.

I don't like the too-rounded corners and the color obviously. Perhaps it is just bad light. As for the price, it's a bit high for a definite 1.

I asked the seller yesterday about some better pics, maybe using a scanner.
I told him the light looked yellow tinted and would like it seen in a brighter white light or such.

Here is his response:
Will do; it's authentic; came from my dad's safety deposit box; he had all 60 of the series.

I'll add the new pix to my listing.

Thanks for the heads up.

Best,

Jon xxxxxxxx

NOTE: The seller had added NEW PICS!!!!
As mentioned by calvindog, I looked at past sales from H&S and PSa's report, about 400 was the range a few yrs ago. for a PSA 2.

Despite the naysayers, the cards are legit but they are prohibitively overpriced for their condition. If I am not mistaken he listed these or others from the collection, earlier this year.

The new images posted on the listing make me convinced it is authentic. As a comparison, check out these three cards in my collection that have a similar off-white look and rounded corners (and one has Buck Barker writing on back too).

Agreed, those pics help. That being said, there are 32 graded Cobbs and this one is a wildly overpriced 1.

If only ebay would throw out another 20% off offer, and generously combine it with 10% ebay bucks, perhaps a low roller like myself might be tempted...to ponder purchasing the card before deciding to pass.
