Thanks. I am pretty excited and I am glad I was able to work out a deal to sell one of my t205 multi-strikes in time to have funds to purchase this card.

I am curious to see if more miscuts come up in the BSF cards to know if the rest of the sheet was distributed to the same place. If they do show up in the BSF collection we may be able to figure out an entire sheet layout.

Nice silks Todd.

Here's a few that came today:
2 are from a fellow board member, down to needing about 25 more for my Cracker Jack set!

Default Beautiful Red!

Andy, Your Mack is incredible and I echo everyone else's comments on it.
Awesome Card! Really neat to see that Ford was above Mack on the sheet!
Way Cool!

That Tinker makes me think of him Carey from the second Ace Ventura movie.

Default Christmas has come early this year for me!

As many of you are aware, two of my major collecting focuses are WaJo cards and Sam Rice Cards. And, you may have seen my recent, ecstatic post in the LOTG Auction pick-up thread where I showed the 1921 Herpolsheimer's WaJo 1-of-1 card that I won in the LOTG Auction that ended a week ago.

Well, guess what - a couple of days after my WaJo post, I received an email from a Net 54 Board member (whom I didn't know, but whom happens to live roughly 25 miles from me) asking if I would be interested in purchasing his 1921 Herpolsheimer's 1-of-1 card of Sam Rice (and, at a reasonable price!). I could hardly believe my eyes as I read this email. Would I be interested - heck, I'd kill for this card, so to speak! I put my check into the mail on Thursday, and the Herps-Rice arrived in today's mail. Are Board members great, or what?!! Bruce, again, MANY THANKS!

I keep pinching myself to make sure that I am not merely dreaming that within a week's time, I have picked up two cards that I never, ever expected that I would be able to obtain. 2014 is already a great year, irregardless (sorry, but I've long used this "incorrect" word) of whether or not I add anything else to my collections for the remainder of this year!

Default 2 new ones this month

Thanks to Chris Buckler for working a deal on the Baker & Jones from Joe's Vintage last auction. Now there's an auction house who knows how to do it. Ended Tues. night, invoice on Wed. morn (pd. Wed). Received card on Fri. No buyer's premium and $3 for postage. Screw the big AH, I'll stick with these guys!

Hey John, what you deem to be my "showing off" is merely my feeble attempt to "keep up with the Joneses Wonkatickets," which I now realize is even more futile than ever, especially since you've been "showing off" your incredible N172s, each of which is better looking than all of my 70+ N172 Washington-player cards!!!

Seriously, Pete, John, Leon, Jason and Frank, many thanks for the kind comments. You guys and many other Board members have brought me so much pleasure and made this hobby so much more fun for me ever since I found Net 54, which was around the time I retired in 2007 and began having more time to enjoy my hobby.
BEST to ALL,
Val

Now have fewer than 100 to get. Also grabbed another 40, but then found out I already had it. I guess this is where it starts getting tough:

Great postcard, Paul, that's a really tough one to find.

Are you still going after all of the BB HOF RC's?

Phil, I guess I'd say I collect rookie HOFers but I'm not really going after all of them. The Baltimore Ruth and the Just So Young are a bit beyond my expectations.

Default Another Seal

I never intended to go for the whole SF Seal team, but am now only a handful short. Mohler is coming courtesy of Sterling.
T212 Kid Mohler.jpg

... also never intended to go for a Duffy back run, but I guess I am by default after picking this off the BST (no way I'm chasing the biggies though)

Now we're talking some toughies! Nice pickups of a couple very hard finds. I love these MMs almost as much as the Cocoas.
