Default Mantle signed ball..is it good?

Posted By: chris

Found it at an antique show here in Vancouver on Sunday. Next to no sports items, but the vendor had 4 signed balls, all individually signed on the sweet spot - Robbie Alomar (looked good), Yogi Berra (?), Fergie Jenkins (looked good), and this Mantle. The pics aren't the best, but I hoped they might show enough to say if it were good or bad? The "y" struck me as unusual. The seller mentioned they were all from the Shopping Channel. Thanks for you assistance! chris

It is still avaialble...I haven't picked it up yet. The yellowing bothered me too. The price is fair, at $100 CAD (approx $83 US). I would like to add a Mantle to my collection, but how much does the yellowing affect value? chris

Jump on it.... the slight yellowing does not devalue it all that much. This ball (if authentic) is worth more than 4 times the amount he is charging. Best of luck!

Should have mentioned that the seller has a Bo Jackson signed ball too. Not familiar with Bo's autograph. She was asking $40 bucks...fair?
