Default Yet Another Ty Cobb Find:

Seems like there have been more of these stories since the new 'enlightened' biographies of Cobb were published. Hmmm.

So, another find from the same family, in the same house. Hummmmm. Maybe they are scattered in every room. Or maybe its a slow release with alot of press which will maximize their value. They could have found 30 or more and we would never know it. Even though the Ty Cobb back card isnt as rare as it used to be, its still on most top 10 Cobb lists.

There have been many finds that have hurt the values of items like the S81 Christy Mathewson which were found in a NY farm house of 50. Plus, Heritage had a find of around 12-15 Bregstone Bresnahan postcards a few years back.

Nice to know that big finds still happen, but very suspect that it came from the same family.

The blue old mill, the overstrike, both classics. What other fake variations have there been? That would be a fun thread - the top t206 scams/fakes; obviously Gretzky Wagner is #1. I think I read somewhere about a fake Joe Doyle.

Yeah I was going to ask the sam question. I confirmed the card raw in person. Most the pics of the card are ones I took and posted here. So please tell me who else had the card in hand before SGC and confirmed it.

This Cobb strip is rarer than the Cobb/Cobb but I will generously agree to trade it for a Cobb/Cobb, even one graded a 1.

But wait, act now and I will throw in this Simmons:

I'm no dummy Adam. What's the shipping and handling on your offer! That's where you are going to make the money! I can think of many other Cobb issues scarcer than Cobb/Cobb since the big and little find occured. Ill keep to Cobb items with a known pop of under 10 or less! Postcards, pins, notebook covers, and many type cards, etc on him.

I want a time capsule to go back to 1970 and buy T206s for 55 cents each!
