Default My rainbow is complete

Took a while to find the /5 card to complete the rainbow, it arrived in the mail today.

Top row R-L
1/1 Yellow printing plate
1/1 green border proof
4/5 red border

Bottom row R-L
7/10 blue border
19/25 grey border
regular auto version

This is my first and probably last modern rainbow. It was fun to chase down the versions but only done it because of who is on the card.

No camo? No red hot foil? No sparkle? No Walmart blue?

Ben, what was the inspiration for this and how long did it take you?

I could make all the sparkly/shiny stuff but I believe this is all the versions that are factory produced.

I watched the reruns as a kid and always read the comic in the paper. Then about 8-9 months ago I was over at a friends house and Denise the Menace was on TV. I went to ebay and when I seen them I decided I needed them.

LOL, no Ted, no relation and if he was he is old enough to be my dad.

I hear ya Peter. in a little over 30 years of collecting I have a very unorganized mess that contains a little bit of everything. A lot of times my reason for buying something was, hey I don't have one of those.

I have been watching for them. I also think there are other colored 1/1 NSCC proofs. Luckily I don't believe there is a true 1/1 issued auto card.

Pretty cool, Ben. I grew up in the 80s, but 'Dennis the Menace' reruns were on Nickelodean in the afternoons just about every day, and I loved it. I was kind of a trouble maker myself as a kid.

I see there is a regular 1/1 auto card so I don't have the rainbow. It is priced at over $100 so there is no way I am going to get it.

That is the one I was referring to. If it was $100 cheaper I would buy it.

If it's that overpriced eventually he will come down perhaps.

I ended up getting the yellow border 1/1 Auto version. I was told by a fellow member it was a complicated trade.

I am considering this done now that I have the yellow border 1/1.

Through a lot of research I found out there is also a green bordered 1/1 auto card. I also believe the 1/1 NSCC PROOF was made with each colored border.

To make it easier my computer and printer magically made the other cards I am missing to have all the 1/1 versions.

This is the kind of collection that makes me smile. I loved those reruns on Nickelodeon as a kid, too. Congrats, Ben.
