I am not a bat collector and know very little about them. However, I am interested in acquiring a bat of this nature. Can someone tell me if this is a reasonable price for an item like this? Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi-
I collect game used bats of Sacramento baseball players, many of them playing in the MLB in the 1920s and 1930s. I have about 50-60 gu bats (about 90% are Louisville Sluggers)and the price on this "block signature" Powell seems VERY high to me. Just my opinion.

It's probably higher than you'd pay on ebay, but it's in the range that Leftfield Collectibles has been selling bats of New York player bats from the 20's and 30's. I would be more confident if I knew that the Powell who ordered that bat was named Jake, but then it's hard to find a pre-war bat that doesn't involve some guesswork as to its use.
