Default Soupy Sales info needed

Hi all
Well, I guess this can be considered way off topic.
I have here what I believe is a 1958 Soupy Sales membership card. It was obtained by my deceased cousin when he was a youth, his name is on the card.
Included is a Soupy pinback button, which has scratches.

Is there anyone with any knowledge of how collectible these items may be and any wild guess at a possible value to these items.

I see one identical card on ebay now, but it is autographed (supposedly rare for the autograph), and it looks like he recovered it from a garbage truck. The ridiculous price he is asking is $700. I know these are no where near that.
Condition of this card is excellent.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Bill

Default Hi Bill---

Your time frame of 1958 puts Soupy in Detroit doing a TV show--It was a few yrs later he went national.

Realistically, I would value the pin in the $20-$30 range & the card maybe in the $30-$40 range. I base that on various similar items I have run into from the '50's.

Hi Fred,

I was thinking of you, I sent an email to you. I figured you may know a bit about Soupy.

Thank You

Bill

Paul---

Bill is kinda' special to me also! LOL!!

On a more serious note:

After doing a bit of searching for Soupy stuff, I think maybe I was a bit over-generous w/ my evaluation.I don't think Soupy stuff had quite the same value as, say, Howdy Doody or Pee Wee Herman, so am revising my value to maybe $30 or so for the pair--card & pinback.

You can watch the Soupy Sales Show on JLTV. They show both the original black & white episodes, as well as the later color ones. Some of it is still quite funny.
