Default 1922 Boxing Exhibit question

I have a complete 1921 run of boxers (only one wrestler).

I also have a near set of 1922, which has gone no where in a long time. I'm sitting at 28 of them.

My question is: Does Dempsey and/or Leonard actually exist in the 1922 set?

I have Adam's book (2007, I should update ), that says they do, but with just 1921 fronts and updated date backs.

Thanks, Scott

No one was able to confirm them so I removed them from the checklist some time ago. So far as I know, I can definitively confirm the existence of the following 1922-dated cards:

Benjamin, Joe
Carbone, Frank
Carter, Tommy
Delaney, Jimmy
Dolan, Johnny (Red)
Eagel, George
Farren, Frankie
Green, Willie
Hammer, Ever
Howard, Johnny
Jamison, Ted
Jawson, Joe
Joyce, Teddy
Lawler, Jack
O'Brien, Tommy
O'Dowd, Eddie
O'Toole, Jack
Ortega, Battling
Perry, Jack
Reyes, Francisco
Root
Ryan, Tommy
Sangor, Joey
Schoell, Frankie
Shade, Dave
Smith, Midget
Tendler, Lew
Tracey, Jim
Tremaine, Carl
Tunney, Gene
Wells, Billy

Only card that may exist that I am still trying to confirm is Mike O'Dowd.

Then there is the case of Frankie Schmaltzer. He has a PC back with a 1922 copyright but no biography. I suspect he was a replacement for someone in a later printing.

Thanks, Adam. That's what I kind of figured. I also do not have Mike O"Dowd, so he's till missing in action.

I don't think he exists. My current working theory is that 1922 doesn't repeat 1921. Like the baseball sets. So any one with a 21 won't have a 22.

Schmaltzer would be 32, which is one of the standard set counts.
