Default 1957 Topps Complete Set 1-407 $6200

I'm selling this for a friend. He is a very critical grader. So cards he says are EX are EX.

***Price lowered to $5800. Price in thread title is no longer correct.***

This complete set of 407 cards contains 123 graded (122 PSA, 1 SGC) and 284 raw. The average grade is right around Ex-mt. Among the slabbed cards are nearly all of the stars and significant rookie cards, and most of the semi-stars, too. Among the raw cards, the only ones that I consider to be below Ex are #297 Crimian, #303 Goodman, and #318 McDermott...all Vg-ex.

The following raw cards have varying degrees of wax stains on the back: #81 Wehmeier, #142 Thompson, #174 Jones, #177 Yost, #262 Thomson, #279 Thurman, #318 McDermott, #329 White Sox Team, #346 Littlefield, #377 Rodgers, and #392 Tanner. I would characterize these as very light (most) to light. I apologize if I've missed any others. I looked closely, but sometimes miss things.

The graded cards break down as follows (* indicates a card that looks exceptional for the grade):
PSA 4 (3)...#324 Dodgers Team, #400 Dodgers' Sluggers, #407 Yankees' Power Hitters

PSA 4.5 (1)...#20 Aaron

PSA 5 (35)...#1 T. Williams (light stains on back but NQ), #Berra, #4 Logan, #9 Temple, #10 Mays, #18 Drysdale, #24 Mazeroski, #30 Reese, #35 F. Robinson, #60 Hoeft, #62 Martin, #95 Mantle (a very nice looking 5), #97 Yankees Team, #114 Braves Team, #116 Fornieles*, #121 C. Boyer, #125 Kaline, #145 Smith*, #157 Post*(light wax on back but NQ), #170 Snider, #171 Red Sox Team (a very strong 5), #175 Larsen, #192 Coleman, #200 McDougald, #215 Slaughter, #240 Bauer, #250 Mathews, #284 Zimmer, #286 Richardson*, #302 Koufax, #328 B. Robinson, #338 Bunning, #351 Hillman, #385 Houtteman*, #396 Wise*.

PSA 5.5 (4)...#109 Thompson*, #156 Triandos, #251 Orioles Team, #277 Podres

PSA 6 (42)...#5 Maglie, #6 Lopez*, #15 Roberts, #19 B. Wilson, #25 Ford, #29 Herzog, #34 Sturdivant*, #38 Fox, #40 Wynn, #59 D. Williams, #67 Carrasquel, #76 Clemente, #80 Hodges, #85 Doby, #90 Spahn, #94 Del Greco*, #107 Rivera*, #110 Virdon, #120 B. Lemon, #122 K. Boyer, #130 Newcombe, #134 Kaiser*, #138 Minoso, #140 Thomas, #153 Olson, #154 Schoendienst*(light wax on back, still NQ), #165 Kluszewsi, #197 Sauer, #201 Amoros, #203 Wilhelm, #208 Lew Burdette, #210 Campanella, #212 Colavito, #219 Acker, #230 Kell, #265 Haddix, #293 Abernathy, #295 Collins, #300 Garcia, #312 Kubek, #340 Wight, #389 Jolly*.

PSA 6.5 (10)...#70 Ashburn, #73 Crowe, #83 Skizas, #88 Kuenn, #100 League Presidents, #135 Skowron, #173 Craig, #252 Erskine, #356 Throneberry, #378 Singleton

PSA 7 (22)...#7 Aparicio, #45 Furillo, #46 Miller, #50 Score, #53 Labine, #82 Howard, #92 Vernon, #102 Boone, #115 Gilliam, #126 Weisler, #193 Rice, #211 Pascual, #234 Cole, #253 Zernial, #272 Shantz, #289 Bolger, #290 Carey, #372 Zauchin, #379 Lee, #383 Pizarro, #388 Daley, #404 Anderson.

PSA 7.5 (1)...#216 Grissom

PSA w/Qualifiers (4)...#55 Banks 7(OC), #133 Crandall 8(OC), #242 Neal 9(OC), #183 Cubs Team 7(ST). I subbed #183 myself and can not find any staining on the front or back. Perhaps I'm going blind, but the card looks very clean to me.

SGC 80 EX/NM 6 (1)...#158 Simmons.

My assessment of the raw cards breaks down as follows: NM 13%, Ex-mt 69%, Ex 17%, Vg-ex 1%. All of the card can be seen by clicking on the link below.

The price is $5800 delivered.***Feel free to make an offer.***
